Woodard Emhardt is pleased to announce Scott J. Collins membership in The Villages Young Professional Advisory Board. Mr. Collins joins a group of young professionals dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children in Indiana. YPAB Members from various professional backgrounds learn and contribute to The Villages’ mission by using their skills in Advocacy, Events, Fundraising, Recruitment and Retention and Volunteer Coordination to support the organization as a whole. Committing to at least one full year of service, YPAB Members gain the knowledge and understanding of the child welfare system in Indiana and have the ability to directly impact the lives of the children and families served, statewide, by The Villages.
Mr. Collins concentrates his legal practice on all aspects of patent and trademark prosecution and litigation. Prior to joining Woodard, Mr. Collins gained valuable experience working for a startup software company conducting corporate and intellectual property legal research to determine the how to best protect the company’s IP assets. He also worked for a major pharmaceutical company conducting patent landscaping research and meeting with scientists to determine patentability of their work.
