At a dessert reception on June 28, 2022, Woodard, Emhardt, Henry, Reeves & Wagner LLP awarded Victor Chukwuocha with its USPATENT.COM Diversity STEM Scholarship.
Victor graduated from Purdue Polytechnic High School in May 2022 and is pursuing a degree in business and engineering with a minor in political science at Purdue University. As a student at Purdue Polytechnic, Victor served as the sole editor of the school’s sports website covering football, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, volleyball and track and field. He also worked on a project that dealt with modern segregation, learning about redlining practices in the first half of the 20th century that created segregated neighborhoods.
“We are proud of Victor’s accomplishments and know he will make a positive impact on his community,” Dan Lueders, Managing Partner.
Woodard established the USPATENT.COM Diversity STEM Scholarship to relieve financial burdens, help reduce other outside pressures, and support the pipeline of diverse science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) talent in Indiana. The scholarship is awarded annually to a diverse Purdue Polytechnic High School senior who will be majoring in STEM in college.
