Wen joins the firm after earning her J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she also received her Certificate in Intellectual Property. Prior to joining the firm, Wen gained valuable experience as a legal intern for a large pharmaceutical company and a multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products. As a legal intern, she drafted patent, trademark and copyright licensing agreements, mapped IP portfolios, linked IP to products, and identified gaps to cultivate, develop and protect future IP investment.
While pursuing her Ph.D. in chemical engineering, her research included directing the self-assembly of copolymers to achieve dense and defect-free nano-patterns for smaller electronic devices and controlling nucleation and film growth in the deposition process of ultra-thin metal films that act as a diffusion barrier, which ultimately improves the lifetime of electronic devices.
The Firm welcomes Wen and looks forward to building on Woodard Emhardt’s 140 years of protecting and defending client’s creative and intellectual assets.
