Woodard partner, Andrew Nevill, was quoted in the article “Trademark scams on the rise: How attorneys can help clients as scammers get more complex” which was published on June 7, 2023 issue of the Indiana Lawyer.
The article explains, “Scams range from straightforward fraud — lying to applicants and the USPTO to make money — to services that really do exist but are misleading to applicants by making them think it’s necessary or somehow endorsed by the USPTO.” Andrew attributes part of the problem to the complicated filing process.
