Ahsan Sohail is a patent agent with a background in chemical engineering. Ahsan focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property law. His experience includes conducting litigation research, drafting trial briefs, and conducting IP due diligence. In addition, Ahsan assists in preparing patent, trademark, and copyright applications and conducting patentability searches for a wide variety of client technologies including biotechnology, medical devices, smart manufacturing, and mechanical systems.

Prior to joining the firm, Ahsan worked as a project engineer in the pharmaceutical industry, where he led studies on molecule and platform adaptability for drug delivery systems and performed statistical analysis for R&D leadership. He also oversaw the process to build complete drug product systems for shipments and became a subject matter expert on small scale processing equipment.

Ahsan is pursuing his Doctor of Jurisprudence at Indiana University Maurer School of Law where he is the Content Editor for the IP Theory Law Journal and member of the Intellectual Property and Asian Pacific American Law Student Associations.
